Staging
What Exactly Is Staging And Why Is It Important?
By definition, staging is “the practice of styling and furnishing a property for sale in such a way as to enhance its attractractivenes to potential buyers”
When you are selling your home, you have a big investment at stake. The quicker you can sell your home, the better off you are. And it goes without saying, you want to get the highest price for your home as possible. Staged homes stand out in the market and sell faster and usually for more money.
According to Realtor.com, “Staged homes sell 88% faster and for 20% more than non-staged homes”
Another important reason is that we have become a technical and visual society. Photography of homes is a critical marketing material in the home selling process.
NAR (National Association of Realtors) states that “95% of the people looking to buy a house, begin with an internet search”
Having an empty room photographed is leaving money on the table. Help buyers emotionally connect with a home to entice them to come see the property in person! Even if your home is less than perfect, staging can still benefit you. Nearly a third of all buyers (27%) are more willing to overlook property faults in a staged home.
And did you know that 78% of expired listings are vacant? Don’t forget: the average cost of a staging is much less than your first price reduction! And staging costs are exponentially cheaper than an unsold house.
